It was Sandee Hamrick’s brother who threw the dart. He was looking for a new place to call home and figured he’d leave it to chance. Of all the places it could have landed on the entire map of the U.S., the dart ended up just outside of Winston-Salem. Even though she didn’t make the throw herself, Sandee sees that moment as a very important point in her life.
Exploring the Country
 You see, her father worked for AT&T and was relocated many times. As children, Sandee and her three brothers lived in quite ten different places throughout the country. In fact, through their many moves and some memorable family vacations, they actually visited every single state in the continental U.S. at one point or another. Unlike many people who are forced to relocate a lot, Sandee and her brothers loved every minute of it. She thrived on the adventure of seeing new places, making new friends and experiencing new cultures. Always a nature lover, Sandee enjoyed seeing firsthand all of the diverse and breathtaking scenery throughout the country.
A Twist of Fate
After throwing the infamous dart, Sandee’s older brother made the move to North Carolina. She followed him less than a year later and instantly fell in love with the natural beauty of the Triad area. That move was in 1985, and Sandee has been making the most of life here ever since. She met her husband, Don, raised four wonderful children and truly set down her roots for the very first time. “I simply love it here,” Sandee says. And whether they are boating and wakeboarding on the lake, taking a drive out to the ocean or going into the mountains for some snowboarding, they take advantage of all the outdoors activities that this area has to offer.

 Sandee’s desire to make a positive difference in her beloved Triad communities is what inspires her every day as one of the area’s premier real estate professionals.
